Malcolm Arison (The Boss Hoss)

Essential Parlor

Pictures
I was born in Manchester, England and picked up the harmonica at an early age. Left home as a teenager and travelled around Europe playing harmonica and guitar on the street, in bars and later with bands in clubs. Spent some time in Geneva and somehow ended up in Berlin. I settled here, running a bar for more than a decade and playing music in my spare time.

The last five years I've been doing only music - I am Hank Williamson with The Boss Hoss, playing harp, mandolin, washboard and stylophone. I joined the band in May 2007 and since then we've toured around quite a bit and I love it! Our new album "Do Or Die" hit #4 of the official charts in Germany at the beginning of July!

Gear: Apart from the Hohner harmonicas (which I have played for more than 30 years!), I am playing a Hohner Essential Parlor acoustic guitar, a Hohner HFM-100 mandolin, the Hohner HB-25 5-string banjo and a Lanikai LU-6E tenor ukulele.
