It's no exaggeration to say that Howard Levy acknowledges no musical limits. His sonic adventures include journeys into jazz, pop, rock, world music, Latin, classical, folk, blues, country, theater, and film.
Considered by many to be the world's most advanced diatonic harmonica player, Howard has developed a fully chromatic style on the standard 10-hole diatonic, revolutionizing harmonica playing and taking the instrument into totally new territory by realizing the full potential of overblows.
He is also an accomplished pianist and composer, and plays many other instruments including flute, ocarina, mandolin, saxophone, and percussion. Howard was a founding member of the Bella Fleck & the Flecktones and Trio Globo. He has also performed and/or recorded with Kenny Loggins, Dolly Parton, Styx, Bobby McFerrin, Paul Simon, John Prine, Paquito D'Rivera and many others, as well as touring and recording extensively in Europe with artists such as Rabih Abou Khaliil and Michael Riessler.

Last Dec. he opened his own Online School. The Howard Levy Harmonica School online presents the most comprehensive harmonica curriculum and social network available online today.
Using the latest Internet video exchange technology, Howard breaks the barrier to one-sided learning by personally instructing his students through video exchanges online. Both the student's video and Howard's individualized response are posted together, as a pair, on the site so the entire online community can learn.
