Encouraged by the good acceptance of the Essential Pro guitars by the players, Hohner adds a frequently requested model to the range: The EP1-SFE is the acoustic/electric version of the bestselling Folk body without cut-away. It comes with the Fishman ISYS+ preamp and pickup with a built-in tuner.
Most newly introduced acoustic/electric guitars come with a cut-away in order to appeal to the solo players. However, many fingerstyle and singer-songwriters do not believe in cut-aways. The cut-away does take away a little bit of projection because it reduces the sonically active real estate of the top. Some people prefer the shape of their guitar to be symmetrical and round. The new EP1-SFE has been created especially for these players.
